Senior Pharmacovigilance Scientist

Due to unprecedented success within the Wokingham based Pharmacovigilance Department there is an immediate need to recruit experienced Pharmacovigilance professionals to join the team. Duties

• Ensuring MedDRA data quality/coding standards from individual case reports to aggregate data analysis.
• Showing exceptional attention to detail.
• Reviewing protocols, clinical trial reports, etc.
• Database experience preferred (Arisg).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Possessing excellent communications and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• Able to problem solve and institute a corrective action plan independently.
• Contributing to the development of department systems including SOPs and department guidelines.
• Demonstrating that he/she is actively advancing his/her knowledge of the regulations, the therapeutic area, and the competitive environment.
• Demonstrating practical knowledge of cross-functional PhV regulations, i.e. pre-marketing, post-marketing and safety & epidemiology, in addition to understanding the difference between European and FDA PhV regulations.
• Demonstrating the ability to independently plan and organise work involving several processes, projects or functions with reliable results.
• Helping to manage timelines to achieve the stated goals.
• Consulting with the pharmacovigilance manager and the team as necessary.
• Demonstrating the ability to be an active team player.

Qualifications/knowledge required

• BSc Degree (or higher) in a scientific field, or Qualification / experience in a related Healthcare Profession
• Minimum of 3 years relevant pharmacovigilance experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible, adaptable and able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Able to work to tight deadlines under pressure
