Executive Coaching

Unicus works with the Executive (or high potential manager) in a Coaching capacity to progress towards goals and job objectives that are aligned to both the Executive and the Organisation. This may involve focusing on specific areas of management and leadership development, e.g. styles, tools, talents, vision. Or, it could be to support an Executive through a role transition or promotion (how often has a technical expert been expected to deliver the same results in his/her first people management role?). Acting as a neutral sounding board with whom he/she can build confidence and work through new challenges or issues, the Coach helps expose the real potential of the executive. In addition, 1:1 Executive Coaching can help develop new skills such as time management, communication and assertiveness, influencing, negotiating and managing/leading change.

Process

To be effective, 1:1 Executive Coaching programmes are run for a minimum of 6 half-day face-to-face sessions. These can be combined with telephone coaching and additional emails support when necessary. The number of sessions can be extended or stopped at any time.

A 6-stage process ensures high quality implementation and progress. Aims and objectives and measurable outcomes for the Business and Executive are aligned and the Coaching Programme is designed around them. Confidentiality, roles & responsibilities and ethical boundaries are contractually agreed, review meetings and evaluation scheduled.

Stage 1: Initial Meeting with Sponsor (HR/Line Manager).
Stage 2: 1:1 Meeting between Coach and Coachee (Client).
Stage 3: 3-Way Meeting between Coach, Sponsor and Client.
Stage 4: Contract signed by Sponsor, Client and Coach.
Stage 5: Review Meetings between Coach, Sponsor and Client.
Stage 6: Final Programme Report to Sponsor, Evaluation form to Coach.

Coaching takes place at the Client site, Unicus Offices or at an appropriate venue defined by the Client.
